Many microbiological and cell culture laboratories require highly sterile working environment for performing research activities and laminar air flow cabinets are the best solution for them. Often called laminar air flow chambers or laminar air flow workstations, these laminar air flow cabinets are designed to keep contents of the work zone safe from particulates that are sensitive to such contamination.

Term vent LAF cabinets are custom-designed in accordance with GMP standards, with dimensions of the work-surfaces defined by customer’s requirements. They are made of stainless steel AISI 304 and special anti-static PVC foil. The cabinet may be ceiling hung or freestanding. Vertical laminar airflow with the speed of 0.36 – 0.45 m/s is achieved through supply of air via double SC screen with integrated HEPA filters, and interspace lighting. LAF Cabinets operate with 100% recirculate air and the overpressure in the work zone of 5 Pa. The forced air circulation is achieved through a centralized or FFU unit. FFU units represent a special construction of HEPA filters and radial fan with EC-blue motor. At customer’s request, cooling of the cabinet working area is also possible in case of centralized ventilation. They are delivered with automatic control panel and touch panel. All parameters are microprocessor-controlled, with visual and audio alarms signalling device malfunction and clogging of filters.
